LABEL/BREED launches The Recycled Carbon Chair on Kickstarter

Nov 26 2018

The Recyled Carbon chair addresses a big environmental problem: indestructible carbon waste. Marleen Kaptein found a way to help solve this problem.

Amsterdam, 26 November, Dutch design label LABEL/BREED will be launching its new product via a Kickstarter campaign on December 4th at 12:00 PM CET. The Kickstarter campaign will seek funding for its expensive production mold of 28.000 euro’s and will give the first backers the ability to acquire the chair for more than 70% discount on recommended retail.

The Recycled Carbon Chair is made out of 96% recycled carbon. Only 4% of the chair is made from new Carbon strips, printed by a special robot of the Dutch Aerospace Laboratory (NLR). The chair looks great and is everything you’d expect: lightweight, meant for a lifetime, beautiful Dutch Design and it comes with a great story. LABEL/BREED is an established Dutch design label focused on the development of sustainable and innovative interior objects by establishing collaborations between designers and manufacturers. They aim to make products that will last for generations and don’t add to the growing problems of our planet. Their products are already multi-award winning, such as the Flax Chair designed by Christien Meindertsma, the Vlisco Recycled Carpet designed by Simone Post and many more.

From December 4, you can support this awesome design on Kickstarter or by spreading the word!
